About Me: My name is Katie Adams, and this is my blog. Obviously. I am a former English major looking to make the transition into the world of nonprofits via technology and social media. Helping people is my passion, and I look for new and interesting ways to do so whenever possible. The old ways are great, but I am excited about how new technologies can be put to use for more than just communicating with friends. About the Blog: This blog started out as an experiment. I had never written for an audience, and found the idea of blogging to be a little odd, but decided hey, why not? I cover quite a bit of ground here, usually on subjects that fascinate me: politics, nonprofits, books. I sometimes write about my life and my thoughts. Every once in a while, I may just post a picture or two. I have a few causes that are near and dear to my heart; you’ll find out more about them if you click the causes tab.
